Tips for a More Memorable Performance
To make your event go as smoothly as possible, keep in mind the following tips:
- Plan ahead. Little kids need time to memorize their lines, even if they only have one or two sentences to say.
- Ask for help. If you have shy children in the group, make sure they have a parent or another adult to be helping them with their lines and working on overcoming any stage fright.
- Keep costumes simple. If your play requires costumes, make sure they are comfortable for the children to wear. Kids get cranky in clothes that are itchy or too tight.
- Don't expect perfection. When working with children, the important thing is to have fun! Even if things don't go quite as you planned, the evening is a success if everyone enjoys themselves.
