Uses for Christmas Trivia Games

Christmas trivia games have many uses, especially if you’re planning a holiday party. For example:

  • Print a list of trivia questions on your party invitation and offer a prize to the person who brings a list with the most correct answers to the party.
  • Print trivia questions onto paper placemats to give your guests something do while they’re waiting for their meal to be served.
  • Use trivia questions to distribute grab bag gifts. Have one person read the questions and allow whoever is the first to answer correctly choose the gift of their choice.
  • Divide your group into two teams for a Christmas trivia tournament. Offer candy canes, Christmas cookies, or a small holiday-themed prize to the members of the winning team.
  • Make separate lists of Christmas trivia questions for easy, medium, and hard questions. Award one point for each correct easy answer, two points for medium questions, and three points for hard questions. At the end of the game, the person with the most points wins.
  • Draw a board game path on a sheet of poster board, preferably in the shape of a star, Christmas tree, or some other holiday-themed icon. Let your guests move one space forward for each correct answer and award a small prize to the person who reaches the end of the board first.
  • Use trivia questions as the basis for a scavenger hunt. For example, the question “What popular Christmas treat uses the color white to represent Christ's purity, red to represent the blood He shed, and the presence of three red stripes to symbolize the Holy Trinity?” would direct participants to look for a candy cane.
