Easy Christmas Decorating: Ever Green Seasons
From LoveToKnow Christmas
For easy Christmas decorating, Ever-Green Seasons has Christmas tree products that pull everything together.
Heather Shepardson is the CEO of the Christopher Radko company, maker of fine holiday ornaments and decorations. She founded Ever-Green Seasons in order to promote new products for your Christmas tree: the Sure Grip Clip and the Fresh Tree Watering System.
LoveToKnow Christmas talked with Ever-Green Seasons representative Tanya Kobilyatsky about what makes these products so innovative.
Easy Christmas Decorating: Ever-Green Seasons Interview
There are some products you find and think, "Wow – why didn't I invent that?" This definitely applies to your company's fresh tree watering system. Please tell us how it works.
The watering system is a very clever, yet simple, invention. Our patented watering system works on a siphon.
When placed under the tree, the watering device automatically refills the tree stand with water as the tree drinks. The watering device holds enough water to keep your tree quenched for days on end, so you can head out of town and return to a tree that hasn’t dropped all of its needles. The waterer feeds the tree the right amount of liquid to keep it fresh and fragrant.
The wonderful thing is that the waterer is disguised as a present, and we have several different designs that match any home décor or Christmas decorating theme.
Can customers suggest new designs for the system's exterior, or will more designs be offered in the future?
We definitely listen to everything our customers have to say regarding adding new designs or improving product performance. We have several different designs, but are always looking for new ideas. If we hear about a great new idea, we will surely try our best to bring it to the marketplace.
The Sure Grip Clip
Another innovative solution for easy Christmas decorating offered by Ever-Green Seasons is the Sure Grip ornament clip. Who thought of this and why?
Heather Shepardson, president of Ever-Green Seasons and CEO of Christopher Radko, a division of Rauch Industries, came up with this wonderful invention. After years of struggling to keep delicate ornaments secure on tree branches and wreaths or seeing them broken on the ground because of a flimsy ornament hook, Heather created a new type of ornament clip.
The clips come in several decorative styles and keep all your ornaments, including those most precious, from falling off the tree or wreath. They are so simple to use that the entire family can help out with holiday decorating. All you have to do is attach the Sure Grip Clip to the ornament, open the clip jaws, and then clamp the clip to the desired tree branch.
Are these clips cat- and child-resistant?
The patent-pending Sure Grip Clips are probably the best option for keep ornaments secure from children or pets. Regular old hooks just slide over the tree branch, and if pulled, easily come off, along with the precious ornaments. When the clip is attached to the tree branch, it’s quite secure and only a very hard pull or unclamping the clip will get it to come down.
Do the clips harm branches of fresh trees?
The clips do not cause any damage to the tree branches. This is the second year that we've sold them, and we've only heard great reviews from customers.
Can you give us any hints about future innovations to make holiday decorating easier?
We have a few new designs for the 2009 holiday season, including something that will improve safety when decorating outdoors.
